As of today, I am now blessed to called one of Taylor's endorsees. I have no idea how it happened except that I have 3, yes 3 of their new guitars being sent to my house soon.
I know that I have not been good with blogging, but I'm hoping to get back into it and REALLY start hitting it hard. The reason for the lesson delay is because I'm not really set up to video myself doing lessons. I'm working on it. It's just been really slow, obviously, coming.
I hope that everybody is learning new things in the music world, but more importantly in the Gospel world.
In the mean time... check out taylorguitars.com and learn about their new electric guitar series.
Be blessed. Later.

Greetings Chris!
A few questions & comments:
1. Comment, I used to think 33 miles was a "produced band". You know the types, good looks, little talent...However, I saw you at Unity Fest in muskegon,MI '07 or '08. You guys are for real! Real vocals and real guitar slinging!
2. I attended West Michigan Worship Arts & Technology conference last month and met Aaron (used to tour with you guys). I mentioned how tasty your electirc guitar tone is! He did not offer up any of your secrets! Can you shed some light? My theory(by looking at your sponsor links) is a combination of the following key pieces: A Carr Amp 2x12, Fulltone OD and Fender tele (and your fingers). How close did I get? You have that dialed in prefectly for "Jesus Calling". I am trying to replicate that tone for my PODxt Live, but I know it will be futile...
Look forward to any "light" you may choose to shed on this...
Keep being legit and as we say on our P&W team at church, "Jam for The Lamb!"

Hey Grant. Well... I like gear to compliment what I do, meaning I don't like a lot of crap coloring what I do. If you're wondering what I used on the album for "Jesus Calling"... I used an AC-30 cabinet, don't remember the speakers that were in it, I can't remember if I used my Carr Hammerhead to act as the head or if I used the actual AC-30 head. I own a Fulldrive, it's on my flight p. board though. I don't use it much. My main set up involves the xotic line up... the ac, rc, and bb preamp. I get the amp nice and gritty and just push it a little more with my pedals not with gain, but more with volume from the pedals... I don't use a LOT of overdrive from the pedals. I like "pretty gritty" sounds. For the solo... I think I used the bb ANd the ac together. Live... I just use the bb preamp. Live I'm running through my Carr Hammberhead... 1X12. Mic'ed, anything can sound big, ya know? 1x12 is easy to carry too. I also use the DD-20 on my main board... sometimes in the studio we switch over to the line 6 delay modeler. Again... not a lot... just enough to smooth over the edges. Hope this helps friend.
